“Raja, Raja”, Preash shivered as Raja’s voice faded in the dark. “Where are you taking him?”
“Shhhh…be calm, or else you will be the next,” Arivuchelvi threatened Preash, as usual in her husky voice.
“Why he? Where?” Sweety asked.
Some giggles, some cries and some clamours filled the spot.
There were so many questions within Preash, but he couldn’t ask, he didn’t know where to go in search of answers. Raja’s final cry bothered him the most.
“He is gone, no culprits will be spared,” GOD shouted
“What? How do you decide that he is a culprit? And who are you man, to decide it?” Preash argued. He couldn’t digest what was going on around him. He felt small like a useless creature, witnessing every dreadful action around him. He was in a position where only his voice supported, he couldn’t fight back. He was fed up and knew that there was no possibility of an escape.
“He acknowledged,” said GOD confidently
“So, I am the next,” Gomathi said politely, she too was ready for anything.
“I deserve it, I lied to Ezhil,” she said
“Shut up Gomathi, you don’t deserve this, are you mad? Who are they to punish us?” Preash shouted out of anger, he couldn’t bear the truth that everyone was surrendering to their enemy.
“I deserve it, I lied to Ezhil,” Gomathi repeated the same
“Get lost,” Preash screamed
“What did you lie?” Arivuchelvi was curious to know.
“Everything,” Gomathi wimped
“Everything is a lie in this world, so don’t blame yourself” Elango who was silent tried to pacify Gomathi.
Elango was nice sometimes and rude many times. Whenever he was nice to someone it came as a shock to many around him.
“Elango, will you be here forever,” Sweety asked
“I too have my time,” As Elango said it echoed several times
