Find me
The overzealous guy who claimed himself as GOD engendered fear within many. The way he expressed himself with several modulative voices in that dark added fuel to the weirdest imagination of their situation. Yet they didn’t utter a single word against him as they did with Elango.
The screams and cries for help faded away, just whimpering by a few, in certain intervals was in action. But that too deteriorated in the presence of GOD. In the act of safeguarding themselves from the unknown enemy, they hid under the carpet of silence.
“Why are you all silent dudes? Common, speak something.” GOD invited others for a chat.
GOD’s super cool nature his name and how he introduced everything about him provoked doubt within Preash.
‘Who the hell in the world would be super excited when they have been kidnapped by strangers for an unknown reason.’ Preash’s thoughts were wandering in the streets of suspiciousness.
Preash greeted GOD. “Hey, nice to hear your voice dude.” Preash tried to make a conversation. He thought he could guess the guy’s intention by his response.
“Oh, buddy. What’s up, man?” GOD responded casually.
“Who are you?” Sweety asked hesitantly.
“Hmmm. A woman’s voice. Imm Hmm, I love it. I heard your screams baby. I loved it too. Don’t you remember? Just now I introduced myself. Do you want to hear once more? I will do it for you baby. Oooh Hooo, It’s me, GOD.” The guy shouted energetically, he modulated his voice into a husky tone then and now.
Sweety suffered an anxiety attack. Beyond the dark, the guy’s flirty talk aroused her panic to a different state. After listening to that guy GOD, she imagined the worst. Terrible thoughts carried away her to the worst possible case. Would this be a human trafficking gang or an organ mafia? Back in her mind, she was shuffling within extreme possibility. The news she came across so far against humanity flashed within her as breaking news.
She took long breaths to calm down and reaffirmed herself to be brave.
The guy’s laughing sound filled the place, and Arivuchelvi joined him. It echoed.
GOD enacted Sweety in a husky tone and made fun of her. “I am sweety, I am here, I don’t know where I am… I am so frightened; I won’t beg anymore. Beg anymore…Maa Maaa beg anymore.” He was continuously making fun of her.
“Hey GOD.” Preash intervened to stop GOD from mocking Sweety. He felt bad for that girl. He knew this guy was dangerous, yet he tried to stop him. The only possible way for him to do that was to have a chat.
“Yes, bro”. He replied.
“What’s up? What’s going on?” Frightened Preash asked if he remembered his strangled neck whenever he felt GOD’s presence.
“Mosquitoes are flying around, ants are climbing the walls as though they are on a Mount Everest mission, these houseflies are showing off their wings and it’s pissing me off. That’s it, bro.” Said, GOD. “Where’s my beauty sweety? Are you afraid of me baby, as I am off this nasty cockroach?” His attention was towards Sweety.
“What’s your real name?” Sweety asked.
The impetus of her eagerness to know more about GOD was his voice. Somehow, she could relate to that but wasn’t exactly sure of his identity.
“Be quiet,” Preash muttered.
He felt it was a lunatic idea to have a conversation with GOD. Somewhere within, Preash felt the responsibility to protect Sweety from the maniac. The girl whom he had never met before yet he felt close to her irrespective of the danger, they were in.
“Why should I be quiet?” Sweety exploded, like an uncontrollable flood. “Why am I always said what to do and what not to do? I have my mind and voice. I can speak whatever I want. Shouldn’t I speak even in this dreadful situation?”
She was fed up; nobody knew why Sweety behaved like that except her inner being. Nobody responded including Preash.
“Is anybody there? Why are you all silent.” Gomathi, the little girl asked after a while. For two strangers, strangers themselves become the support system in an unknown space. That’s what happened in their case too. When one went silent, the other made sure that they weren’t alone.
“We all are here, don’t worry,” Sweety said
“Sister, why did my uncle put me here?” Gomathi asked. After a long time, the little girl realized the fact that she was far away from home.
“I am sorry, I don’t know?” Sweety said with a heavy heart, she didn’t know how to comfort the girl.
“Who is your uncle? Do you remember how you ended up here?” Preash asked. Whenever an opportunity opened up, he jumped into cracking his greatest puzzle of all time.
“I was with my uncle and Ezhil. My uncle took us to a hilly area and asked us to hide in the dilapidated building. He said he will come soon.” Gomathi said and started crying. “He didn’t come back.” She cried”
GOD laughed loudly and said, “So you came here? Pity girl, Oh pity. What a hide-and-seek game, don’t worry, your uncle will never find you.”
“What do you want GOD? Let’s be transparent, no more games, Please. Tell us, why have you taken us here.” God’s maniac laugh made Preash speak up again.
“I want everything, my love, my home, my reputation, my identity, my life. I want everything back.”
“Are we responsible for that? Did this little girl take anything from you, or for that matter anyone out here?” Preash questioned furiously.
“You can’t take revenge like this. Just think.” Sweety said.
“Revenge?” GOD laughed again.
“Preash, he isn’t the one.” Raja the silent spectator said politely.
“Then, who? Why are we here? Can anyone just say me?” Preash shouted crazily.
“Hey, don’t make noise,” Arivuchelvi ordered politely in an authoritative tone.
“We will” Everyone rebelled.
“It’s a police patrol, Police patrol.” Tensed Elango alerted.
“You can’t escape, here’s the police. Dammits, look what’s going to happen. Nobody will be spared; the gang of culprits will be punished.” The excited Preash spoke confidently with the hope of getting out of that dark.
“Gang of culprits, Hmmm nice name. I will consider it. But am sorry my son. They can’t find me, they can’t, if they try, they are finished.” A new spooky voice emerged for the very first time
